I made 2 typos in my initial blog. One, I have been a yankee fan for 71 years and just 60, I was only five years old when my dad sat me in the bleachers which cost 50 cents not 60 cents. sorry for the errors and thankyou to those readers who noticed it would have been impossible for me to see Gehrig or DiMaggio' s debut if I was a fan for only 60 years. Everything else is correct.

I have been a new york yankee fan for over 60 years(my dad and I would sit in the center field bleachers for 60 cents. I saw Gehrig play and DiMaggio's debut. I have seen them win and lose but I am past the level of ordinary frustration. You cannot win a pennant with one excellent pitcher(Wong) and three hasbeens. Even if Wong wins 19 or 20 this year, the Yankees will finish below .500. Why? At best between Clemens,Mussina and Petitt ,who have been pitching in the major leagues for almost 60 years ,they can only pitch 5 winnings each. Management needs a new star starter immediately. cannot believe the Yankees(the richest team in baseball cannot make the deal.
